About 30 years ago I met a collector who became a good friend of mine who lived on the MD Eastern Shore. He had been friends with one of the pioneers of the hobby who lived nearby named Crawford Foxwell:

While I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Foxwell, as one could imagine his collection was tremendous and my buddy would tell me that it included a Brooks Robinson complete uniform.

What the uniform actually was a uniform that Brooks Robinson wore at an appearance at one of his "Brooks Robinson Sporting Goods" stores (grand opening, etc) from the early 1970's. The story Mr. Foxwell told my friend was at the event (being the collector he was) he asked Brooks if he could get one of those uniforms. Brooks told him that the one he was wearing was a little snug around the shoulders and that he could have THAT one & a deal was struck on the spot and Mr. Foxwell walked out of the store with it.

In 1991 Mr. Foxwell passed away & my buddy knowing what a huge Brooks fan I was approached his widow and asked if I could purchase it from her directly.

Here is that uniform (it even came with stirrups, which I didn't show) & I had Brooks sign it on the interior collar at a Crown Gas Station appearance a couple years later:
