Always fun to see all the different angles to collecting T206. I came across this excerpt from a book to seems to document Ty Cobb travelling to Louisiana in March of 1911 with his family for spring training:

That is a nice way to collect, like said above there is no wrong way.
I done the local thing also. As part of a collection I donated to a local museum one of the cards was a T206 Bill Shipke. He played for and managed the local small town team in 1920. |

1911 Detroit Tigers Roster, with an "X" next to the players I think have a T206. Paddy Baumann Donie Bush-X Joe Casey Pug Cavet Ty Cobb -X (4 cards) Tex Covington Sam Crawford -X (2 poses) Jim Delahanty Bill Donovan-X (2 poses) Delos Drake Del Gainer Davy Jones-X Ed Lafitte Chick Lathers Jack Lively Clarence Mitchell George Moriarty-X George Mullin-X (2 poses) Jack Ness Charley O'Leary-X (2 poses) Biff Schaller Boss Schmidt-X (2 poses) Oscar Stanage-X Ed Summers Wiley Taylor Guy Tutwiler Ed Willett-X (2 poses) Squanto Wilson Ralph Works For a total of 20 cards. |

As mentioned, Ed Summers has a T206 card, which is shown below.
Jim Delahanty has a T206 card, designating him with Washington. And Jim Delehanty also has a T205 card, showing him with the Tigers. So with the T207 cards Ron mentioned, you can have a nice type collection of the three most prominent tobacco issues of the era as well, and a good chunk of the Tigers 1911 roster.
