By the way, TRIVIA TIME:
What is the only MLB team to NEVER throw a no-hitter? Hint: There is only one and they are still an organization... Great stuff Scott... Pitching a no-no on LSD might even eclipse back-to-back no-hitters (in terms of improbability). Would love to see a Photo of the event, should you ever come across one. I think I know the answer to your Trivia question, since I lived there for so long... The S.D. Padres, right?

Ken Hubbs personal bank savings book An unusual Bob Feller game ticket...unusual because it is not signed!! A 1910 Elgin (Illinois) Kittens pin , coached by former Cub Mal Kittredge Baltimore Md. Old Timers Baseball Assn. Inc pin dated 1952 Unknown "W" pinback pin. The previous postings have shown incredible items and so enjoyable to view....lets see some more.

Babe Ruth
I don't know if schools still participate.
The Babe Ruth Foundation Sportsmanship Award was started by Ruth for underprivileged children who exhibited true sportsmanship during the school year. I believe it was started around 1947 or so? I picked up an unused plaque and award separately on eBay. I also have an award given to a student - not sure where it is. The plaque was made by Balfour (about 10x16") - I saw a pic where the plaque was placed with other school awards. There are some pics on the net with students but no info.   On the back:  Individual award - never issued/engraved:   I had a writeup on this but couldn't find it - perhaps someone else has more info?
