Charles "Boss" Schmidt was the starting Catcher for Detroit (1906 - 1911).
A fair number of 1910 COUPON subjects are SOVEREIGN 350 "NO-PRINTS". But, Boss Schmidt is one guy that is featured in both of these sets. ![]() . ![]() TED Z T206 Reference . |

Toy Town Hallman.
Bill Hallman, outfielder, had a 21 season career, only four of which were in the majors. His career started in 1894 with the Philadelphia Colts of the Pennsylvania State Lg., and finished in 1914 Bridgeport (CT) Crossmen of the Eastern Assoc. toytown.jpg He played many years in the AA American Assoc. But, in 1897 he played for the Bloomsburg Blue Jays of the Central Pennsylvania Lg., which was an F Division League................. I never knew there was an F Division .......... ![]() |

One of my favorite artworks with unique composition, and an interesting pose/background color. And still (until now) has not been posted. Because it is one of my favorite commons I have multiples, and I thought I would have a little overlapping fun with them (try that with graded cards).

Jack Hayden's first day in the Major Leagues (April 26, 1901) was the first game for the new franchise, the Philadelphia A's.
Hayden was the leadoff hitter, and what an honor for this Pennsylvanian....the 1st player in Athletics history to come to bat. ![]() TED Z T206 Reference . |

I didn't want to take anyone's spot with my T213, but I'm running out of cards to contribute here. If I left off the scan of the back, it would be pretty tough to know it was not a T206. I'm looking on eBay for some good deals on the Minor leaguers that are left.

I used a checklist I found posted on the internet (don't remember from where) which I copied then removed all the HOF and SL from it. I either got a little crazy with the elimination (early on Pat already caught me on one SL I forgot to eliminate), or perhaps my checklist was incomplete...

Joe Doyle - "NY Nat'l" w/ Hands Above Head PARTIALLY POSTED, THANKS TO TED..(see post #428) It has a little bit of blue ink peaking out on the left side, so probably a blue background card. Brian Last edited by brianp-beme; 05-19-2020 at 11:09 AM. |
