Yes, nice pic Dale!

Really impressive seeing them all together like that.

New this weekend. The Rice negative was so clean, it was actually the easiest to paint so far....Dwight Evans, Jim Lonborg and Fred Lynn are in the works for this week...
BTW, has anyone ever seen Joe Pesci and Frank Malzone in the same room--at the same time?

Thank you for sharing. That's amazing that your Dad had them. My Dad never collected a single card. I was definitely on my own there, Lol.

Thanks guys!

A little tidbit you guys don't likely know is, my Uncle had some, including an Eddie Mathews card, but sold them at a pawn shop years ago for likely peanuts.
I had told him at the time to please let me know if he was ever going to sell them but I guess, for whatever reasons only he can answer, he decided against that?
At that time I had no idea how rare and how valuable the Mathews card was so I, regretfully, didn't push the issue.

I think about it once in a while but it only upsets me so I just try to think about what I own and how lucky I am to have those, especially my Mantle.

A couple of new ones this week added to the "modern" numbers of the set...Frank Thomas will be the most modern of the moderns. He's just too cool to leave out. Thank you, Andy Bergman, for the rookie autograph!

Here's an Eddie you can probably afford and a handful of this week's commons!
I love this Eddie Mathews.

More stuff...the Frank Robinson is a sweet high-res negative. I enjoy making the commons as much as the stars. There are really no rules!
Sal Maglie was such a badass, Lol

Final posts for the weekend...what started as a custom order looks like it might replace the current Gibson in the set...I really like this one...the Banks is zoomed in a bit and the colors locked in to the background. That went better than expected. I love young pics of Banks. He got "old fast"...Johnny Bench and Dave Concepcion next week!...still looking for a really good Marichal photo if anyone has one

This guy was basically David Cone. Remarkable pitcher for a spell...card turned out exceptionally pretty. Basically, a perfect card for my taste.

Phil,

It seems to me that you continue to improve on the process! At least in my novice eyes they do...

Mark, Thank you!
Hard to say, really. Sometimes I go for "cartoonish" and other times subtle. My vibe changes. Sometimes I actually make a card kind of...ugly on purpose, Lol.
Like authentic vintage releases aren't all attractive, you know?
Guys like you inspire me to work and try things. Today was the first of the 6-card 1961-1962 Basketball set. It has to have the feel of the year/era AND be attractive to a current collector. It's an interesting balance.
