In 1969 I took a banner to Yankee Stadium I had painted with Frank Robinson's #20. I stood along the rail by the visitors' dugout before the game. A batboy offered to take it to the clubhouse since we had missed batting practice. I remember my buddy saying that we'd never see that banner again. But soon after that Frank came up the steps of the dugout with it. He brought it over and signed it for me. I still have it although the orange paint has turned sort of pink.

Well, I only kept this one for 22 years :
Signed by Roger Jr * Bud Selig, among others, it helped me get into all 5 games on the Cardinals homestand where McGwire hit #60-61-62. It had a two versions via use of a fold down flap, hahahaha |

Not really what you're talking about, but the closest I have... in the late 90's I was walking around NYC day drinking with some buddies and there was a crowd in the alley of the Letterman show. We asked a guy what was going on and he said Motley Crue was going to play. They recorded one song for the show, then played for a half hour just for the people that showed up. Afterwards we were lingering around the stage and I grabbed this "walkway" sign. I flipped it over and it was a cue card for a Steinbrenner joke. Can't believe I still have this thing, but it is one of those weird conversation pieces at my house that people ask me about.

I wished I had saved it, but during the 1977 World Series, I made a sign out of a white blanket. I was a junior in high school. It read: "Reggie Jackson is a Candy Bar, but Reggie Smith is a Superstar." Me and a buddy paraded it up and down the aisles at Dodger Stadium all day, and everybody but a the Yankee fans cheered us. But it didn't help the Dodgers, who lost to the dreaded Bronx Bombers again.

This was the first concert I ever went to! I graduated HS that year and had to sneak to this concert. I am probably in that photo because when the Who went on stage I was about 30 feet from the stage! Crazy.

Not real old but I kept this foam asterisk from when the Giants played in Philly back in 2007. It did manage to make it on the evening news.
