Nice photo! It was shot in Puerto Rico. The same photo shoot was used to make the the Rawlings Advisory Staff Glove photos. It was also used on an album cover. I was watching a similiar Jersey in ebay a couple of months ago. The seller attributed it to Al Oliver. He pulled it after I inquired about the sleeve and neck striping.

Any thoughts as to why the stripes are different?

Never looked that close before. Hope someone else can chime in with a good explanation.

Default new

I'm new to this thread. Lots of things I've never seen before, so it's very impressive. Wanting to contribute something, this is a ball that I grabbed when I was 9 at Forbes Field in 1968. I passed the ball around to players in the BP for signatures, and somebody with the team volunteered to take it to the clubhouse for more autos. After the game, the sweetspot was still empty, so I was able to get Roberto to sign there. I remember being very happy about it!

Hi Mark,

Great signed baseball!

I think we all would have been very happy receiving that ball. For sure a keeper! Must have been quite the feeling seeing Roberto on the sweet spot.

Keep on posting!!!

Default Look at this "1960's Canada Dry Poster"

https://sports.ha.com/itm/baseball/1...umbnail-071515

Look closely at it. At the bottom of the picture of one of the cans you will see the "Nutrasweet" logo...... which wasn't introduced till 1985.

I see this advertised all the time as a 1960's poster when in fact it is from the 80's. 1987 I think.

I think I’ve seen it sold before as a 1980s piece. I think that’s why I never felt a strong need to add it to the collection.
