Honestly, not really. The eye sockets look close but he looks a bit "saggy & slight"...Speaker was pretty broad, actually...but that doesn't mean it ain't him!...maybe he's slouching? I just wouldn't wager it.

I want to take a picture of the photo over my fireplace and post it. Seems Joe Wood & Tris Speaker did the trick of running while the panoramic was being taken and they appear twice in the line!
I love that! That must be a heck of an '09 pano you got there! Can you share the whole thing, perhaps? Thank you!

I should (and will) share the full pano - it honestly probably deserves a separate thread, which I will do tomorrow, so I can do it properly.

In the meantime, here is the Red Sox team portion of the panorama - I have it pinpointed to a mid-June 1909 series in which Speaker played in all of the games, so he should be in one of these shots. Which one is he??

To me that does look like him on the far left, and the stance of that player seems to fit Tris...not sure why.

Agreed Brian - that was my thought, though Phil disagreed. Happy to hear any other thoughts on it as well....

One more vote for the player on the left to be Speaker. My eye was drawn right to him.
Some of my Tris Speaker cards etc.
Third from left in Red Sox team photo. Lousy jpeg.
Other photo from Hunt Auctions. Not much info other than with BoSox against New York at the Polo Grounds in the 1910s.

Yep. when you look at all of 'em, the far left HAS to be him. None of the others are of any likeness.

Wow Dan. That's the most beautiful E106 I've ever seen.

I agree. They usually look more like this condition-wise. Still a great card even with the creasing (Seems like a fair amount of E106 cards I have seen over the years have a very prominent vertical crease...anyone know whyinthefadoodle this is?)

Something different to show...
From Helmar Brewing. A difficult modern art card to locate. The series is retired and collectors don't sell them. You've gotta be a stalker to find it. One of my favorite Speakers

That is a really nice Speaker for the series. Very, very few like that.
