Hi Ted,

The box was pretty plain, there were no Factory # nor District on the box, only that label and that's it.
All items in that showcase had no price tag (which is weird) and I didn't ask how much they are looking for too since I wasn't even thinking to buy it at all (didn't thought they worth any money) but just that it was Sweet Caporal so I took a pic of it. If I go back I would prefer to know a price that box might worth so I can make a "wise" offer (if that's how that work for those items in that showcase)

I think I've seen one of those boxes linked to the T35's.

Default well

The "ask dad" campaign was in the late teens or most likely early 20's - CRS - but will find exact dates when I can. NOT associated with any "T" card. I bought a similar FULL carton around 2000. If you want to discuss more about this and whatever you can email me..... I would be interested in owning the carton IF there are packs but equally willing to walk you through any particulars.

edited to ask - wait. No packs inside? Neat carton on it's own but not a lot of value.....

Agree with Henry. Post-1918 carton (would have held 10-count boxes of Sweet Caporal). Maybe worth $50-$100 to a collector. Neat display piece.

The box is full and sealed as far as I can tell. (sorry, if I didn't mentioned it in the original post) I didn't really inspect closely whether it has been tampered or not but appear to be factory sealed.

I have already left town and will go back there in two wks, hopefully the carton is still there next time I visit that town again.

If the carton is full and factory sealed, how much do they worth? If it worths a lot of money, might be i should go back next Monday. LOL

The Sweet Caporal brand used the Ask Dad advertising campaign for a few years, from around WW1 into the 1920’s. Cartons held 200 cigarettes and still do to this day. If it is 10 packs, that means there are 20 count soft packs inside. The correct carton from the baseball era would say 20 packs. There is one on ebay right now with a pack that was just listed the other day.
