I have ordered an object with glass frame twice. The first time it was shipped improperly and I had one hell of a mess when it arrived. Thank goodness it didn't harm the picture beneath. The second time the seller shipped it in an extra large box with plenty of packing peanuts. I believe it was also FedEx delivered. If you are buying the photo and want to keep it in the original frame, be sure to reach out to the seller and confirm shipping methods before you pay!

I would consider asking the seller to remove the glass from the frame, and just send the frame and picture. You can always buy a new pane of glass to fit in the frame.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to contact seller after auction and express my concerns.

If its an old frame, they could probably remove the glass and pack that separately so doesn't break on and damage item... Also old glass from frames is different than glass today so while removing and replacing may be an option, some of that "old" look may be lost...

If the seller won't or doesnt want to remove the glass you can ask them to completely cover the glass with masking tape. That way if the glass did break it will not slide all over the photo during shipment causing damage. Masking tape is easy to remove from glass. If it got covered in shipping tape that may be a sticky situation and a pain in the butt to remove. Let us know how it turns out!

you should ask that they double box the items and use the same method of packing as described above. Mark box that it contains glass and not to lay flat
