C'mon Mike. Even I say "no prob" fairly often. I consider it a you're welcome sometimes. Maybe I will have to reconsider that phrase.
My least favorite, overused word is "amazing".

It is time to bump this thread, because the widespread overuse of that godforsaken word on this site is batsh*t crazy!! Open (or click on) a freakin' thesaurus, people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note, watch any show on 'Discovery +' or The History Channel, or whatever, and the hosts continually trot out that stupid word every chance they get. When we start watching a show, we bet on the over/under for the number of occurrences. If it was a drinking game, we'd be on the floor within the first seven minutes!!!

I can't remember who or where, but it seems to me that I saw an autograph recently that the signer had put "GOAT" under the signature.

The only autograph like that that I would even be mildly interested in would be if it was an item signed by Fred Merkle. Can you imagine a T206 card signed that way?

What gives me the dry heaves is the use of iconic and awesome in the same sentence when describing a card.

I know it’s a small complaint from an old man screaming at clouds, but the one that bugs me, especially when it is used by sportscasters and frequently so, is the phrase “at that point in time”. Like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. A “point” in time is gone before you can utter it, and the phrase is superfluous– use one or the other please. It may on very rare occasions be necessary to differentiate between a point in time and a point on a plane, but otherwise the meaning of “point” is readily inferred from its usage. I hope I made my point.

From the Department of Redundancy Department: Not long after I moved to Arizona many years ago a sportscaster actually was bemoaning some team’s performance by saying they “have lost their last five straight consecutive games in a row”. I kid you not.

The one I hate is an item for sale described as "Must Have."

As if everyone who collects sports memorabilia will be wrestling with each other to obtain this item, and the thousands who don't get it will end up in therapy, with their collections never truly complete.

I believe that the most fitting inscription would have "Bonehead". Unfair since he had a very nice career. That said, it was an iconic boner, a term more appropriate to the time in which he played.
