Good morning, I was born in 1981 and Cal Ripken was my hero as I was growing up. When I finally had the opportunity to meet him at a Chantilly show, my grandmother wanted to come along as well. There's a photo of myself, Cal, and my grandmother with my grandmother in the middle. Cal called her a "rose between two thorns". She blushed, did a little hand wave, and said, "Oh, Cal!". So, thanks Mr. Ripken for making my grandmother so happy that day.
These are some of my Ripken proof items: 1982 Fleer Test Card http://net54baseball.com/attachment....1&d=1578916439 1990 Donruss Aqueous Test http://net54baseball.com/attachment....1&d=1578916439 1990 Donruss Blue/White http://net54baseball.com/attachment....1&d=1578916439 1992 Topps Round Trippers http://net54baseball.com/attachment....1&d=1578916439 1992 Donruss Jumbo Diamond King http://net54baseball.com/attachment....1&d=1578916439 |

A couple tape recordings of Brooks. I saw a few of the vinyl LP records in the background of the display cases a couple days ago.
Here we have "The Night The Lights Went Out" Brooks talks about all the good memories from Memorial Stadium. Brooks Robinson-The Infielder,16 golden Gloves -Brooks speaks about fielding.I have never seen another copy of this. The one in the brown box is pretty cool. It is a reel to reel recording of Frank and Brooks from a Sports Illustrated reporter Keith Morris. Not sure where it came from but Iam sure I am not suppose to have it. Morris also interview two Track and Field stars. On a side not Jim Ryun was the first High School Track Athlete to break a 4 minute mile! The interview to place June 30 1966. I have never listened to the Reel to Reel and i have a reel to Reel player set up in my basement. One day I will give it a spin. |

You have some very nice cards. The two 1990 Donruss test cards are on my wish list. Have you seen the front of the 1992 Ripken Round Tripper and do you know how many Orioles were printed? I have the Ben McDonald, but haven't seen any others. I think they are neat. 1992 Topps Round Trippers.jpg |

Thank you for the compliment Alan.
I have not seen the front of the Ripken. Mine is one of the back-only proofs. I also have the Gregg Olson disc (front and back on that proof). Olson, McDonald, and Cal are the only three Orioles I have seen before. |

Those are quite the cards you have there. Some of those I have never seen before. Thanks for sharing the Ripken items... |
