After additional research, I found 6 players that are still alive that played prior to 1946. Not many left in the "pre-war 1945" era. I haven't been able to find any baseball cards of these players prior to 1946. Eddie Basinski has a 1947 Tip Top Bread card.
Here's the six players I found (with their debut): 1. George Yankowski 8-17-42 2. Eddie Robinson 9-9-42 3. Chris Haughey 10-3-43 4. Eddie Basinski 5-20-44 5. Tommy Brown 8-3-44 6. Don Hasenmayer 5 -2-45.
