I was one year late in being able to collect these as they were issued. I have always loved this set design, the action shots, the All Star banners, the turn back the clocks, etc. This set also provides the best looking Steve Garvey card ever, in my opinion.

Staub, Fisk, Garvey, Templeton, Tanana, Rose, Fidrych, R. Smith, M. Marshall and C. Morton are a handful that stick in my mind as cardboard greatness.

Yeah, despite the production issues with card stock, centering, and print/registration...some of the cards are just beautiful.

I also like the design...it feels to me what someone who knows next to nothing about baseball cards would describe a baseball card as looking like.
