Anytime You Charge the Mound On Nolan Ryan I’ll Never like you as a Player. Robin Ventura

Maybe a nice guy but he deserved that Ass Whooping in a Headlock from the Express in his mid 40’s

It's crazy, five of my all-time favorites (Schilling, Manny, Pedro, Strawberry, and last but not least Kong) made the list of 50. I think they are all awesome!

Who the hell (other then you and Dave Kingman, I don't even think his wife does) has Dave Kingman in their top 5??????

That's like having Pedro Guerrero or Ralph Garr in your Top 5.

Then......

I read the small byline you have on your threads.....you DO like KONG!

I saw him many times (as I'm from Chicago) swat that ball out of Wrigley many times.......I'd like to see them measure that launch angle.

He was hitting 12 inch softballs onto Waveland like swatting flies.

Mine too, but he's always wearing Mets orange and blue.

One thing about Kong, nobody ever thought his skinny ass was taking roids!

I had the pleasure and good fortune to visit many men who played both with and against Babe Ruth. Always thinking that they were tired of decades of being asked about him, I never once was the first to bring up Ruth's name in our conversations. Each time, the player wanted to speak about The Babe. He was beloved by all these men. As to his being boastful or some of his greater misdeeds, the guys I knew pretty much just let Babe get a free ride because of his stature and the fact that he treated each one of them decently. The combination of those two facts sealed the deal with each of the players (I'm not talking about a small handful of players, either!)

Default Rocker

Rocker is on the list. I am suprised that Mark McGwire isn't on the list. He let down an entire generation of fans.
