He doesn't have that many PRe-War either, though his Play Balls are classics. The Leaf and Berk Ross were from unauthorized sets. Much of his career was during a period when there were very few cards at all, plus he seems to generally not allowed the use of his image for most 'legitimate' sets.

Yeah, there are some baseball greats who hardly get mentioned on this forum. It looks like Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and Roberto Clemente get all the love.

I agree with this. Joe DiMaggio seems to be underrated today. He was held in much high regard in the 80s. I wonder how much those 3 war years that he missed would change that. Especially if he had won a 4th or 5th MVP award.
