Default A Slew of High Graded Mantles For Trade...

Hey, I have a wide variety of beautiful Mickey Mantle cards available for trade. The vast majority of these Micks are high grade…

I do need to get something pretty substantial in return for any of these guys. Maybe a single or two card trade (HOF'ers, variations, SP high numbers??) from the 50's or 60's? Or maybe some sort of package deal. If you're interested in talking about a trade, take a gander at the list of things I'm generally seeking (below) and LMK what you have. I'll be happy to answer any questions or provide further scans/pics, etc.

Disclaimer: Since people will inevitably ask, "What 'trade value' do you put on these cards?," I'll say this. I don't have a specific dollar trade value associated with any of the cards. It really just boils down to deciding whether or not it's worth trading for what somebody has to offer. We all know what each card is basically 'worth' or, more importantly, how much the same cards cost on ebay...and the prices of Mantles continue to skyrocket there.

I am always interested in these:
• HOF'ers in nice shape from the 50's and 60's, graded or ungraded
• Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle (especially their 1961 high numbers in high grade), Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams, Sandy Koufax & Roberto Clemente cards
• Tough to find errors and variations from the 50's through the early 70's
• 1967 Laughlin World Series (with address on back) in high grade
• 1971 Fleer World Series ‘Updates’ (1971 - 1977) in high grade
• 1971 Topps Greatest Moments
• 1964 Topps Stand-Up HOF'ers (need virtually any in nice shape)
• 1961-67 Topps high numbers and SP's
• 1963 Fleer BB stars and HOF'ers in high grade
• Other graded Mantles
• 1954 Bowman HOF'ers
• 1954 Red Heart BB (need virtually any in nice shape)
• T-206's or other pre-war cards (possibly)
• I could also be open to a wide variety of other stuff. LMK what you have.

I'm only looking to trade, not sell.

If you're interested in anything, give me a shout!

Weekend bump. Added a beautiful 1968 Mick to the trade pile. It has the tiniest bit of gum/wax 'stain' on front (that shoulda/woulda/coulda been removed before it was graded). Oh, well.

Bump. Added a pair of mid-grade cards to the list:
SGC 60 1960 #563 All Star
PSA 5.5 1968 #280

Both are pretty darn sharp (the 1960 looks like it just came out of a pack). I assume the grades are a result of the centering?

No, sorry, just looking for trade possibilities. If I was, though, my asking prices would probably mirror what's on ebay, so you'd be better off just looking there anyway.

Bump.
Scan of three 'new' Micks (1963, 1965 and 1966) added to the tally. To answer the inevitable question, I truly have no idea why the '65 is only graded as "authentic." Most people probably read that as altered, but it's not. Someone's best guess was that it may not have straight edges, that it's cut wrongly or something along those lines (possibly on the left side??)? I dunno, because it has always looked fine to me.

Here's a scan of it before it was sent to PSA (God, I wish they would explicitly detail the reasons for the "authentic" label to the submitter!!):

Okay, for now on I'm going to read the 'ST' qualifier as standing for "Stunning!!", because both of these cards look sweet. When tilted in the light, the '69 shows the transparent residue of a slice of gum that formerly spent time atop the Mick. It shoulda/coulda/woulda been easily wiped off before it was submitted for grading, but alas, it wasn't. The '62 is a complete and utter mystery. After a long ass time in the sunlight with a magnifying lens (thought about frying up some ants), I literally can't for the life of me find the supposed stain (gum or otherwise) it contains. My guess is there must be some remnants of gum residue there that would be visible if the card wasn't in a slab?? Dunno. I don't see anything...

(edited: see updated scans in the next post...)
