A quick "Thank you!" for turning me on to Hunt Auctions. As I perused through the auction, I saw one of my 10 Most Wanted staring back at me! Sadly, it was not to be--as I missed the bidding. If anyone on here purchased the T207 Weaver, congratulations and you're fortunate I didn't know of it sooner, Lol. If you ever get sick of looking at it, please let me know. I am now registered with Hunt and will look forward to their next offering.
Best,
Phil Apostle

I really enjoy their Live Auction Format i have picked up a big chunk of my collection from them. I think they do a great job and always have great stuff.

I was outbid on all the other T207s but did win the Weaver. While it wasn't cheap, I thought it might go for more.

Their site and lack of pictures is horrid, but their closing format is A LOT of fun. Great material too.

That Waddell photo is 1903 btw and not 1898.

Any other news on the Waddell photo, Jeff (hopefully of a positive nature?)

Unfortunately no, I didn't win it Mark, decided not to bid against people who were led to believe it was 1898.

Picked up the Boston Red Sox cabinets though, these so rarely come up and are beautiful cards/photos.

How'd you do?

Jeff - nice grab! I was interested, especially with the Speaker in that lot. Now you just need to add this one of Hooper to (help?) complete the "set":

I didn't win this one of Dizzy Dean (c1931), but it REALLY caught my eye! Congrats to the winner!

Yes, that would definitely put you at a disadvantage on the Waddell Photo. Couldn't they make a correction, or an addendum stating the correct year? That's a shame, but not surprised.

On the flipside, those Red Sox Cabinets are awesome... glad it worked out so well, and was an excellent trade-off!

As for me, I picked up just one photo in Hunt... a nice and rather poignant shot of John McGraw (Paul Thompson/Baseball Magazine). He doesn't look quite as mean/angry/intimidating as normal. Thompson must've caught him on a good day.

If anyone has a good trick for removing that little circle of residue, please PM me. I think I can probably remove or lessen it, but am open to ideas if anyone here has had success in doing so. Thanks!

There were many Conlon photos that didn't seem to have Henry Yee COAs. Dicey, particularly without being able to see the actual stamps.

Otis, I was certainly prepared to bid higher, but I take solace in the fact it was aggressively sought after. With me around, your investment is safe...you did not overpay.
