Congratulations Larry!
A "white whale" for your collection!? That is a tall order!! How many of the red one that you added do you know about? How did it get to you?

Armour
In 20 years only saw 1 red correct l or r version and no l-r versions and I bought the l or r at national about 17 years ago....none of the armour collectors I know had ever seen one...3 months ago an l-r showed up on ebay in bad shape but I missed it ...it was a BIN for 500 I would have bought but a major collector spotted it 1st and jumped on it.....now there was a find of all the rare red varieties
Including 3 that had never been seen before..and there were 10 correct mantles in red 5 of each variety...incredible find ..so I overpaid but it had to be done..I think the market will eat them all within a few weeks...price will probably drop to a little above normal correct prices around 600....

Very impressive Larry. At one time I contemplated trying to get one of each of the 1955 and 1960 Armour Mantle/Mantel coins. But I thought better about it. I do have three of the misspelled 1955s and of the 1960s and one of each of the correct 1955 varieties, but I don't actively seek any more - I am not up to the task of trying to get one of each. Congratulations on completing a very difficult task.
