I can't confirm red on Hartnett. I know that red was used in the set but it is one of the scarcer (if not the scarcest) colors.

I think somone (Lyman Hardeman of Old Cardboard?) had a big run of Hartnett colors.

Thanks for the info Adam, looks like the Hartnett was printed in pretty much every available color, even some that I was un aware of existing!

Whoa - that Lew Lipset lot of Hartnetts is so cool!

Here's my color run of Chuck Klein...if anyone has a color I don't have, I'd love to know about it (or better yet, trade for/acquire it)!

I have my Klein run listed as: (1) Black & White, (2) Blue, (3) Green, (4) Sepia, (5) Light Green, (6) Purple, (7) Red, (8) Brown, and (9) Bluish Grey. I think my scanner was "funky" with the red one as it is a little more red than it is auburn, as displayed below.

Here's the Green/Blue tint that I don't (yet) own:

I think there should be a yellow tint out there somewhere, but I don't recall ever seeing one.

Rascal, good luck with your Hartnett run. I remember seeing a nifty Lefty Grove color run a few years back as well...

Those Kleins are awesome. Steely eyed, staring straight at the camera, serious as a heart attack. Great picture and great cards.

After getting a group of these I did some research as well and some colors are harder to find. It was too bad that PSA and SGC did not track the colors for each player. Either way there are some really low populations for these exhibit postcards and I also used Adam's info which was very helpful.

When I noticed this post was about the Hartnett - I thought it might be about the exhibit postcard I just sold you Steve - it will be mailed on Wed.

This is a very interesting set - been buying and selling for 20+ years and never had the colored issues - only the black and white.

Happy Collecting!

Jimmy

THOSE KLEINS ARE SWEET!!!

I did buy a handful of Exhibits from Lew years ago, I wish now that I had been collecting Gabby at the time, my search would have been pretty simple, and at that price knowing how rare they are now a steal in the condition they were represented!

Jimmy, I'm glad we were able to get a deal worked out on the Yellow Hartnett, I've been trying to pick up some other colors for a while now, they just don't turn up for sale very often.
