Thank you very much I appreciate your insight. The reason I felt the card was worth taking a shot on was that the face is pretty worn/scratched up. I figured a fake would look more pristine.
Are there any test, like the black light/glow test, that I can run to help determine real/fake? Or would pictures of the back help? Thanks everyone Ryan

unfortunately it all comes down to the foil as even the counterfeits are real Topps Jones cards (at least in my experience) The palm tree is just such an amorphous blob that's what bothers me the most. If you do a google search for topps desert shield logo you can find a couple for comparison that might help.
