Default This came in yesterday's mail:

[IMG][/IMG]

I started working on this about three years ago, knocked out everyone except Maz, then hit a wall because he didn't sign TTM. He did a signing recently through SCN, so I sent in and got him there. I didn't know it was his birthday yesterday, but anyone who beats the Yankees in the World Series always has a place in my collection.

A bit late to the party but had to look through a lot of boxes of "Stuff" to locate the original mailing envelope. I agree with the observation offered up on the readability of his signature. This photo was offered as a mail in premium in early 1995. It was part of a group that included Don Larsen's perfect game and Bobby Thomson's "Shot Heard Round The World". There was some sort of glitch in the promotion and many people did not receive what was promised. I was pushy and kept trying and finally received all 3 with an apology letter.
A good player and truly a gentleman. Thank you to the OP for starting the thread and those who put up such cool items and observations !!
Sincerely, Dennis
