Default Too much consternation on Net54, lately....here's Blondie (Studio 54) to entertain us

Speaking about favorite Chicago songs....

"Saturday In The Park" is certainly one of their great songs. I remember when I first heard it, it was exactly 47 years ago this month. It reminded us
of our many visits to Central Park in NYC.

I guess my favorite song has to be...."Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is ?"....since it's the first song of theirs that I heard (50 years ago this
Summer....WOW !)

Followed by...."25 or 6 to 4"...."Beginnings"...."Colour My World"...."Make Me Smile" (not necessarily in that order).

Thanks guys for all your inputs to this thread, it's been quite interesting and fun..

Colour My World is a beautiful song. Feelin' Stronger Everyday is probably my favorite Chicago song.

Never hear it played much, but the jam called Get Away after Hard to Say I'm Sorry (which is a pretty cheesy Peter Cetera 80s tune) is pretty good, especially live.

"….especially live"…..well said, Dan.

Having been to Chicago and Creedence Clearwater Revival concerts.... I say it doesn't get any better than them.

Speaking about Creedence Clearwater Revival......John Fogerty immediately flashes in my mind.
And, here's my last remaining OLD JUDGE. Could this Jim Fogarty be John's Great-Grandfather ?
Yeh, you're laughing ...... anyway, both Jim and John were born in San Francisco.

My favorite CCR song is "I Heard It Through the Grapevine".....all 11 minutes of it (its length used to drive the radio Disc Jockeys crazy).

Tell us of your favorite CCR song ?

Grapevine is mine as well.

2 best cover songs ever are CCRs Grapevine and Vanilla Fudge "You Keep Me Hanging On"

I bought a 45 copy of Heart of Glass when I was a kid. For a while the only records I had were Blondie and Styx Renegade.

I saw the Cetera Chicago at the Houston Rodeo at the Astrodome in the early 80's. Great concert.

CCR has always been one of my favorite bands. Proud Mary is my favorite CCR song.

I also think Jim and John are probably related. Jim was featured in many 19th century issues...
