Babe Ruth and Cristian Guzman were both 2 time all stars.

Mike Schmidt and Elston Howard 12 games. The greatest 3rd baseman in NL history and a non Hall of Famer. How was Schmidt not in more games?

Albert Pujols and Harvey Kuenn 10 games. The best player of the last 40 years and another non Hofer. How does Pujols only make 10 AS teams?

Theres such a lack of good catchers, I guess the good and semi-decent ones stand out. John Stearns was a 4X All-Star.

For a few years in the 50s-60s there were two all star games allowing good players like Howard to appear in more than they otherwise would have.

Gibson was selected twice, he just opted not to go both times.
