The illustrations look to us less like accurate portraits and more like vague approximations
by an artist a bit uncomfortable and unfamiliar with Caucasian features... but assuming you have the 1931 date correct and that the illustrations are meant to suggest major league stars of the day, we'd guess (based only on the year, the team depicted, and the very slightest resemblance) that 3 is supposed to represent Hack Wilson, 4 perhaps Tom Oliver, 5 maybe Jimmy Dykes, and 7 either Carl Hubbell or Herb Pennock.
