Keep up the good work Lee. I for one do not need another hard copy catalog, especially for what is basically a monthly auction, and especially if it may mean the BP goes up to cover the cost of printing.

Sterling is 20%. That is already pretty much the max...for now.

Actually, 3% less if you pay by cash, check or money order. It's on the same Rules page that just a paragraph later states the start and end date for the auction.

It's 17% unless you pay by CC or PayPal. Lee also is pretty fair with his s&h charges as only a select few others in the auction game are - he does not use it as a profit center with some 50-100% mark-ups on actual s&h costs like most other AH's do.

Thanks for all the replies.

A clarification on the Buyers Premium, it is 20% with a 3% discount on payments made by check or money order, thus the buyers premium is 17% and the buyer determines if they want to use Paypal and pay 20%, that is the buyers choice. Thanks, you guys got replies in before I could.

As Todd said the cost of putting a catalog is high and has to be added some where. In this day and age the catalog is not used any where near the way it was when that was the only way to see pictures of the lots.

If you are active in Sterling you know that Sterling prices are on the same level as the "bigger" auctions on similar items and provide lots in smaller quantities to make them affordable to as many as possible.

I look forward to continuing to provide the service and inventory each auction that has become a standard that was started from day one of Sterling Sports Auctions. The September 12th auction is looking to be one of the largest offering Sterlings to date. I look forward to working with all of you.

Lee....please don't think I was complaining. I really wasn't. Just expressing dismay that I missed out on your auction because of Clean Sweep and Huggins BOTH ending on the same night. Not sure if it was a coincidental effort to end yours on the same night as two other guys or not. I will try to do a better job of bidding before the auction ends.

I set up the Sterling Auctions in November and have no idea when any other auction site ends. So if they do fall on the same dates it is not by choice and will happen.

As stated earlier, all that is needed is one bid in before the extended bidding and you are allowed to bid on the WHOLE auction in extended bidding.
