All Star Poster... Bottom row in the middle... I thought it was Eddie Collins. I remembered a photo in my collection that looked like that image (see below), but that is not it.
I think it's Ty Cobb on your poster. Here is the photo I was thinking of...

Just remembered this thread and thought I would bump it to see if anyone has more ids (first post is updated) for these photos or has any idea what the Great Western Tailoring Company did that involved baseball.

In the photo with the fan, can you make out what's on the Saturday Evening Post advertisement? That might give you an approximate date.

It took some digging, but I found it. This ad is referring to The Losing Game by Will Payne. It was originally issued as 9-part serial in The Saturday Evening Post from 10/2/1909 - 11/27/1909. It was later published as a book (copyright Feb 25, 1910, published March 9, 1910). So, I guess we have a 9- or 10-week window for this one! Ironically, it appears the story had nothing to do with sports:

If I had to guess the images in the 2nd photo may be pages of images found in Police Gazettes. Pages look much smaller than the M101-2.
I have never seen a true premium with that catcher pose that may be Bresnahan, so it's more likely a photo with captions below in the Police Gazettes. Patrick |
