Mark: I dropped those off in Strongsville the last weekend in March right before SGC’s cut-off date. I am acquiring a few dups for the collection. A couple of the ones I just posted were OPC’s. How’s the Brooks Robinson collection coming along?

Didn’t even think about OPC when I saw your pic. You’re collection is awesome! Do you display your collection?

The Brooks signed run is coming along steadily, but I guess slowly. For the base run I still need his rookie card, ‘61 Topps and definitely need an upgrade on a few cards including the ‘78 Topps. I’ve also been picking up other signed playing days Brooks cards as well, but really haven’t actively searched for them nor currently going for them all. I’ve been trying to concentrate on the quality of the autograph more then when I first started the run. I’m definitely having fun with the search and enjoy viewing the cards.

That autographed Kaline run of yours is wonderful. It must have been such a labor of love. I’ve got only one Kaline, and it happens to be autographed. I’m assuming it’s real, but to be honest, I bought it because I’ve been looking for this particular oddball rookie for a while. 1954 All-Star Photo Pack Al Kaline.

It’s been a couple of months since I posted anything. Thanks to Whiteymet for the help in acquiring this 62 Post Canadian card of Kaline and I subsequently had Mr. Kaline sign it. It’s a sad day indeed. As many of you know I took over my Dads Kaline collection and started to get them signed. We chased Al all over to get him to sign our cards. Old Tiger Stadium, spring training, through the mail and paid appearances. The last time I saw him he signed these for me over
Labor Day weekend 2019. I knew he wasn’t well but you are never prepared to hear the news. It’s a sad day in Detroit for so many reasons.

Cherish this collection even more now brother. What a great man he was. He would sign TTM for 5 bucks and even answered a couple of questions for me when I was writing my book about baseball cards. Too shelf guy for sure.

I haven’t put anything up for awhile in this thread. I recently picked up a number of signed Kaline cards. Here are a couple of them. I really like the oversized cards. The 2002 Flair is about 7 1/2 x 5 and the Vault card is 5x7.
