When Ruth set his first single season record of 29 home runs in 1919 the next closest guy hit 10. TEN! His OPS was almost 200 points higher than the guy behind him, TY COBB.
Trout will never come close to doing anything like that, despite how great he is. Ruth was from another planet and he did that while all things were equal with his contemporaries. Last edited by packs; 07-12-2019 at 11:58 AM.
