I've reported dozens if not hundreds of listings to ebay over the years...cards and memorabilia. To date, none have been removed. Never been contacted for more information. The sellers to this day are still selling the same illegal crap.
So I decided to post a tweet to @askebay. I asked why they never doing anything about the counterfeit/trademark/IP violating items I report. And nearly immediately I rec'd this response...This is the actual copy/paste:
Be assured that we want to keep the site a safe place & we don't allow sellers to list counterfeit items on our site. If you see any suspicious listings, please report them from the listing.
I guess this keeps their conscience clean? Not sure it would legally protect them though.
But they probably know the leagues don't give a shit either (I've tried them too...not even a response) so low risk.
I'll keep trying...eventually, hopefully the flint sparks a flame.
