Very happy to hear you picked that up.

I learned about the greats in the mid-to-late 1980's - and you are right, sadly you don't hear much about Mathews anymore. That's a shame. But yes, does not hurt to be able to pickup many of his cards on the cheap.

Many are cold, but few are frozen.

If you leave a Willie Stargell card in the freezer, it becomes a Popsicle.
I'll be here all week.

Along the frozen line- I had several of the 1990's era sets with glossy finishes in old albums. The cards were literally sealed to the old style plastic pages. Someone told me to stick them in the freezer for an hour and they would come free. Worked like a charm, the cards slid right out!

I think that in the interest of science Bob (bobsbbcards) should put his Topps 1968 3D set in a freezer for one week and then report back on any developments after removing them.
Hey Mike, that is a good thing to know Last edited by ALR-bishop; 03-06-2019 at 12:07 PM. |

If my wife finds out that putting cards in the freezer is an option, she might do that and put me in there with them so I don't get lonely.
