I brought a few boxes of junky ones inside after a few years in the garage/carriage house. I'm sure they've spent some substantial time in single digits. No problems other than them being mid 80's-early 90's cards.

I'm not sure about Kelloggs, or other stuff with a heavy plastic layer. It would be a good idea to give those several hours at room temp before handling them much.

I have been in the same situation - mail-ordering cards and being unable to get to the mailbox every day during the winter. Never saw any effect of freezing temperature on the pasteboard, but one day after a snowplow bashed my mailbox, I opened a thin mailer and found an unslabbed '53 Bowman Duke Snider with a serious gash in it. This was in the long-ago days before the interweb, so I had not viewed a scan or pic of the card prior to sending off payment, but since the dealer had described the card as EX/MT, he very graciously offered to refund the sale. Since it had only cost me twelve bucks, I graciously decided to keep the Duke, scarfaced though he was. On a slightly different note, I once heard that putting a crashed hard drive into the freezer overnight will bring it back to life. Tried it, but didn't work.
