Default There today

Seemed to be a lot of people there. The few dealers I spoke with said sales were a bit slow.

Highlight of the show for me was meeting Ted and Dan (Hi guys!).

Didn't find much on my want list, but then I rarely do.....

Met a another fellow net54er - I already forgot his name - but remember he was into Christy Mathewson!

That was me Howard! I'm terrible with names too. I remembered you as the Clemente fan! It was nice talking to you Ted and Dan.
Also met Scott(Aquarian) and a couple other Net54ers.

Talked with Derek Grady at Heritage for a while... good guy!

Met Dave Schrader and his wife from Baggers Auction(he even remembered my wife's name from PayPal!)

Talked with Brian Drent from Mile High. He gave me a cool background story about a Cobb photo I bought from him a few years ago. His upcoming auction has some great stuff including a PSA 8 Coupon Matty.

The REA auction preview had some amazing eye candy too.

I picked up a few T205's for my Pied Factory 42 set I'm working on and a few other things. Decent crowd and a nice amount of vintage material there. Glad I drove the couple hours to get there.

As a dealer I don't get to walk around much, but there is a fantastic amount of T206. Also a couple of other really good deals on some dealers tables that I won't reveal just in case I can afford them tomorrow!

Any final reports on the show? Hopefully next time, weekend was too busy this time around.

I can't offer the consumer perspective, but as a dealer when the doors opened on Friday there was a buzz and a rush I haven't experienced in a long time. I was busy the entire day Friday. Not always making sales, but talking with potential consignors, and just shooting the breeze with friends old and new. I also spent a lot of time trying to sell a card for a neighboring dealer just because I liked it so much, which I guess is weird lol.

Don't know if it was just because we were 12 miles down the road for 2 iterations of the Philly Show or what, but it just felt like the customers were more excited than they've been in a long time. Maybe Bryce Harper Euphoria?

Default Great show

I was there the whole weekend and it was pretty good. I couldn't let the weekend go by without buying something from both Ted (thanks for the 1948 Bowmans) and Dan (finally pulled the trigger on that T206 Jackson with the AB back). As others have mentioned, there was a nice selection of T206's. As a T206 Baltimore back collector, I was happy to score a Phil Poland Cycle back. Definitely worth the trip.

I go to Philly, White Plains, Chantilly, Boston shows to buy. I can’t remember seeing a show that busy in a long time. Tons of people on Friday - which is usually a “throw away” day. Seemed like a very strong crowd.
