My only one is a Gandil too. I like how a previous owner knew what grade it was going to get and wrote it on the back 100 years ago...

Default Type 3's

Nice cards everyone! This may have been discussed before, but why do some Type 3's have the name of the city/team behind the player's name and others, like the Kid Elberfeld, only have his name? (I am assuming when produced these players were not actually playing/retired, etc. ?? If that is the case, why not pick another player in the league !? ) Seems, almost like a limited release of cards from an older brand that came out in 1910, then 1914, and finally 1919...
