I try to cut sellers slack if I think they made an honest mistake. The fact that he is willing to honor the initial price shows sincerity on his part.

I'd probably counter with the price you think is fair, which sounds somewhere between the original price and his intended price. I might even say, "Hey, I'm pretty sure the card is more like $1200 because..." and then suggest he list at $1900 but then sell to you at $1200 if nobody bites on his higher price.

The closest experience I had to this was when I saw a GREAT collection of cards with a BIN of $9.99. The seller contacted me immediately to say he meant to list as Auction. Sure enough he pulled in something like $400 when he relisted correctly.
