I have some of the potato chip stamp.Just figure that it would be too hard to do a set of it. So I just keep them separated. Last year I did finally submit enough cards to complete a graded set. Not high grade by any means. I guess if you average all the cards then it works out to be around 4 on average.

I have it checklisted on my wrestling card site, if anyone is going to try to have PSA catalog it.
http://x-titles.com/wc/years/1950-1959/index.html It is debatable if the Potato Chip backs should be considered their own set, variations, or simply marked cards. Since the markings are true to the period, and had their own distribution as a food product premium, I am in favor of considing them their own set (such as Desert Shield baseball cards). I would hope that PSA would recognize them as such. |
