In similar footage we've seen over the years, it is amazing how many hitches there are in swings and throwing back then. I think form and execution have been finessed over the decades.

Also, as previously discussed, it's fascinating to see how people react in front of a "moving image" camera. Since it was a fairly new medium, people are awkward and don't know how to act, or what to say, since they were mostly used to posing for still shots. People since then have grown up with knowing how to act in front of cameras, and thus it feels more fluid and natural in the decades since the 20's/30's...

It's videos like this that make YouTube my favorite thing on the Internet. Thanks for posting. I pay a small fee to YouTube each month to ditch the ads. Besides great videos like this, you can listen to actual broadcasts of games from the 1950s and 1960s, and there's tons available. Just search for the YouTube page "Classic Baseball on the Radio." Sometimes I let the broadcasts play in the background for hours when I'm home.
