I was also going to say Dave Bristol, but it looks like he's on the bottom of the ball in that photo.

That really, really looks like Dave Ricketts. Ricketts was the Cardinals backup catcher at the time. Obviously wasnt an All Star but wonder if he was a bullpen catcher for the game since Schoendienst was the manager.

Interesting that Mike Ryan was on there as he doesnt show up on the roster or baseball ref as ever being an all star. Not sure of the connection but I found the linked article that has a picture of him in the bullpen so guess he was similar to Ricketts.
