I don’t think I’ve seen a special edition dedicated to his death.

Wow, this thread truly mirrors reality. Untold numbers of pages celebrating Roberto Clemente's career and all of the joy it brought to fans...and then BOOM!!!...a sudden turn of events at the end as he dies trying to help shattered people. So depressing. So realistic.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

But also uplifting, if one recalls and is able (in some small way at least) to embody the oft-cited sentiment attributed to him: "[if you have the chance to help someone, and you do not make the most of it], you are wasting your time on this Earth."

The eager crowd waits with great excitement, wondering what the grand finale on Day 365 is going to look like...

I posted this item earlier in the thread, a 1972 Sportsline Pittsburgh with Roberto on cover. I haven’t picked up any Clemente items in a long time mainly because I have been pursuing other collecting interests. And also because the more items I acquire, the more difficult it is to find something I don’t already have.

So I was browsing through eBay the other day and decided to check for RC items when I came across this next item. Thanks to a great seller Frank (eBay ID: ballpark-frank) I was able to purchase it. He sent me message saying that he had seen this thread & that he gladly accepted my offer. So, if you’re reading this Frank, thanks again for helping me add to the collection.

1973 Sportsline Pittsburgh…
