Pretty neat items, I am not really a T206 collector but having seen these in the past I happened to find the following T59 Flags a few years back and set them aside in the hopes of one day sharing them. This thread prompted me to dig them out...

Pretty uncommon in the T59's as well, which were distributed about the same time as the T206 cards (and presumably printed in the same manner and likely by the same outfit).

Anyways, one these 4th series T59's (Series of 200) you cans ee the top of the "240" at base for the Factory 240 cards in the same way you can see the "25" and "30" on the T206's. I thought it interesting that it really does cement that that is what those numbers are referring to without any doubt...

Funny, until I just posted these large scans I had never noticed the slight wet ink transfer at the base on front that shows the faint number there too. Interesting.

Very cool Johnny and Rhett — thanks for sharing.

Are the large factory numbers confirmed on any T206 sheets besides Sweet Caporal 350 Factory 25 and Factory 30 sheets?

Sorry if this topic has been discussed — I don’t recall.

Also, it might be useful to give these large factory numbers a name to distinguish them from the small factory numbers that appear on all T206 cards.

Scot

Scot
I think Scot may have a point here as some members may be mistaking the large, obscured factory numbers being discussed with the factory and district numbers that are on every T206 back. These large factory numbers that are at the very bottom of these cards are very rare.
