Got to go with Timmy for pre-war. Almost all of my post-war pick ups were Japanese. The first black and white card is Hideo Fujimoto; it's from the first baseball card set printed after the war. He was absurdly great (0.73 ERA over 432 innings in 1943!) but had a relatively short career. The second B&W card is Fumio Fujimura, the biggest star of the Osaka Tigers. The color card is "the God of Batting" Tetsuharu Kawakami, for my money the pivotal figure in the story of Japanese baseball.

Only 1 slabbed by any of the grading companies. Died tragically in 1965 at age 31!

Hopefully next year, I'll show you my Carl Braun signed 1961 Fleer #7 (a signed copy has yet to be slabbed by any of the grading companies!)

Peace, Mike

Default A few of my favorites from 2018

I was fortunate to finish my run of catchers in the T205 set this year.

I also completed my subset of Chief Meyers T202s this year.

In addition, I picked up quite a few P2 catcher pins this year. Just 3 pins left to complete the run.

Here are my favorite pickups for 2018

Bill Carrigan Diamond Gum pin (March)
Chief Meyers 1915 E145-2 Cracker Jack (September)
E92 John McLean (October)
Joe Dunn T210-8 (October)
Bill Bergen T3 Turkey Red (October)
Lou Criger W600 (November)
