It looks like there is paper loss on his neck. I like the color better on the 2 and centering on the 2.5.

I don't believe it has been mentioned yet, but you now have both versions of the 1952 Topps Mantle. The 2 has the black line under the yellow Yankees logo box and the e in Mantle has the tail, while the 2.5 has no black line under the yellow box and the e in Mantle has no tail.

The last SCD I have listed them as variations. They are DPs, so one is no more scarce than the other, but if the Registry ever recognizes the variation( which I doubt), you will be further along on a master set than most

Thanks for the comments everyone. I like the colors on the 2, but even with the small scuff or surface wear on the 2.5, I like it better because of the centering and the fact that it has no creases outside of the corners. I only recently learned of the two variations because of the fact that it's a double print. Because of that, I will likely hold onto the 2 as well, so that I have one of each.

Congrats! And that has to be one of the sweetest decisions a collector can make in this hobby: should I keep both of my 52T Mantles? Hmm... let's just look these over and think...
