Actually mine are all full size. 29"

The Yankees have a blue version and a white version.

And just like that a third version appears. This with a stadium in the background. Never saw this one before.

I picked this up today. Looking at the uniform i think it is around 1915 - 1920. So thinking maybe Calgary Tigers, but very unsure. Anyone that can help?

That's a gem. Don't get to see enough hockey pennants.

The image is very similar to one that appears on Tigers programs from 1924, which was the same season Calgary challenged the Montreal Canadiens for the Stanley Cup. The Tigers lost the best-of-three series in two straight by scores of 6-1 and 3-0, with the great Howie Morenz scoring a hat-trick in the opener and another goal in the second.

It's been a wasteland lately, but I did pick this up in the last Lelands auction.

1) I've picked up two other 49ers pennants somewhat recently. The single bar helmet pennant (from Fballguy) usually comes with a clearly non-cursive (later version) or clearly cursive (earlier version) font. This more funky font pennant is much more difficult to find (although it is the only version pictured in Mike Egner's book). I thought that it might be a transition between the two other fonts (i.e., a single year version from the early 1970s), but it is about as stiff as a pennant can get and has no NFL logo. I'd say that it comes from around the 1982 Super Bowl era when all things 49ers were selling like crazy in the Bay Area. Or maybe it comes from the late 1970s when they were terrible and the NFL might have wanted to disown them.

2) I also found that the 12 x 36 toploaders work ok for oversized pennants. See the three Santa Clara pennants below. It took a few minutes to get them in a more or less centered position and they aren't perfectly centered, but I'll be able to hang them (eventually).

3) I also reorganized a bit to get some additional Giants pennants on the wall. I picked up the four round Giants patches (let's call them circle pennants) a few months ago. Same image on the patches as the Giants pennant below them.

Nice job on fitting those Oversized Pennants to the rectangular toploaders. I wasn't sure whether the 12" width would be enough, but they look terrific.

And I do agree with Rob on the Single Bar Helmet... Early '70s era, at latest.

It has probably been discussed here before, but when did the super rigid pennants come into existence? Stylistically, I thought earlier as well. But the pennant is similar in feel (really, really rigid) to this yellow pennant from 1981/1982 that also has no NFL logo (although it does have a two bar helmet) and some others that I can date to right around 1980-1982.

Thanks, Mark. I've had those three pennants for years. Seems useful to use these for storage and/or display.

I e-mailed BCW and ultrapro a few years ago to ask about making a larger pennant toploader. They were willing to do it as a special order if I ordered some crazy number (in the thousands). It wasn't in my budget.

Just in case anyone was wondering...I didn't really get this at Lelands. I'll stick to knock knock jokes with this crowd.

On a cold streak right now...but the upshot is my savings account is off life support.

I'm posting this here because I just realized it ties in with Kyle's incredible pennant research...

https://pennantfever.weebly.com/blog.../trench-mfg-co

I picked up this duplicate because it is a tough and unique pin and I couldn't pass it up for 10 bucks. I just now noticed the Sportservice "Double S" mark. Of my 800+ Giants pins, I think this is the only one with that mark...

Somebody has been busy. I’ve always like that 1939 WS pennant. Never got that one though. I have the Cinc version that is much more common for my collection. I see the Tigers pennant went to a good home too. That one has great character and little wear. You got some real tough ones there.
