Well, the card has been taken down with no explanation. Who could've seen that coming?

Do you mean a zero feedback seller can't sell a ~500K card on EBay?

He can not, particularly in a case like this where the seller doesn't own the card that he's auctioning. My guess is that the true owner contacted ebay.
