Even on $50 bids, with the increment being $25 each step, that is a 50% increase!!!!!!!!!!! Too much. If the auction gets tweaked in the future, let me know, I will bid.

Bobby,
I appreciate your post. This is something we will keep in mind for future auctions.

I did find something in my wheelhouse that I was able to bid on (A higher dollar item), but I'm being 100% sincere. When you have an opening bid of $50, to have the next increment be $75 is a HUGE jump, especially when the item is a lower dollar item to begin with anyway.

As a bidder, I like this type of auction. It allows someone to 'perch' on the highest feasible ledge and allows for a nice gain if you want to flip the card. IE, if the card is worth $75, you 'perch' on $50, pay the 20% premium, and get a nice $15 savings on the card since nobody would pay $75+20% on something that's only worth $75.

As a consignor, I'd never list my cards with an auction house that had large 'perches' like this. Sorry, Craig.

Default Hmm

I just want to know how it came to be that someone ended up with a group of 66 1959 Orlando Cepeda cards.

This came from a hoarder collector. In our Invitational Auction coming this summer (dates to be announced soon), we have nearly 1 million cards and many many from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Should have released them over time - one per about every 18 months - so the prices stay high

The quickest and easiest thing to do would to use the "forgotten password" link. If you don't remember your username either please let me know and I will message you with the info.
