I didn’t think you can measure a card to determine if it’s been trimmed due to the old press-and-trim alteration made infamous back in the ‘80s and ‘90s. I may be mistaken, but I believe trimming can only be detected with a loupe.

You very well may be correct, and of course it was possible that I missed some trimmed cards, but that's the way I did it way back when.

You are not mistaken. You are absolutely correct.

Also, there are cards that are naturally cut smaller, and there are cards that are naturally cut larger (that could be trimmed down to regular size), so you can't go by size alone.
