Not all are generic
The drawings on the first 33 cards (Series A, featuring the Athletics, Cubs and Giants) are representative of the players depicted to varying degrees. Some are actually decent likenesses. However, the two subsequent subsets reused the same drawings so, other than uniform details, look nothing like the subject except for the A's. Cubs and Giants players reissued in Series B. All the players in Series C (Red Sox, Pirates, Senators) are "fake" designs.
