1860's Baller
![]() Rob M Cricket front cropped 2.jpg Edited 5/2: Well, there have been almost 800 views of this thread now and I was wondering if someone might have made comment questioning this image (some of you may just have remained mute out of kindness) but it is actually an 1860's English cricket player. I guess it just goes to show how close the look of the players were during that early stage of base ball. I couldn't even tell myself except after looking at the ball a little closer (ok, well, that and the English photographer notated at the bottom of the image and on the back ![]() cricket ball.jpg It reminds me a great deal of the Hoboken Benefit image of Harry Wright in his cricket uniform (not mine): Cricket .jpg Last edited by ramram; 05-02-2018 at 10:55 AM. |

Thanks to Lee at Sterling Sports Auction for helping me complete the 10 card Chief Meyers T202 subset. Chief Meyers has the most T202s with 10 different cards in the T202 set.

Lots of backs so far! Lenox, Howe stamp...and now I get to add a blue back that arrived today.
A very big thank you to DJ for giving me the heads up on this one! (If anybody has another blue back Matty to share, I'd love to see a scan.) Cheers, Steve |

Many great-looking, classic cards out of the May gate.
Just got these babies scanned and in-hand today; Cobb was a bump, so not entirely new; the '57 auto is one of my favorite pieces ever. |

The Goudey #144 Ruth is, in my opinionated opinion, one of the best baseball cards ever. Your's is a peach.

Received these 2 cards in the mail today.
One of my favorite Obaks, Hap Hogan (Vernon). Have 2 1911s already and now have a 1910. Background color slightly different on each one. Patrick |

e107 plank which has been on my list for years and a t227 cobb from ebay a few weeks back. I will say that as much crap as we give ebay, they still have some really good stuff here and there...

Thank you very much! The e95 is arguably just as nice and way more affordable - but I agree, an iconic pose.
