No one knows what the future holds as far as values go or what cards will explode in value in the future. But if you are going to buy one "big" card to hold long term, you can never go wrong with a playing era Babe Ruth card.

In a general sense, though, pre-war is the way to go IMO because there are far fewer examples of each card than mainstream sets from the 1950s and '60s.

Regular issue Topps Mantle Cards in 7’s -8’s. With a focus on centering. I would not chase right now. IMO, only mine, people may think I’m crazy but I’m holding cash, Wait Post War Baseball has more room to come down.
