Hey Bobby, are 1970/71 Topps Scratch Offs okay?

Edited to add: actually, it's a moot point to me now. My Aaron is a 1970 and not the more desirable 1971. Not going to send it.

Thanks, Bobby. Probably put me down for ~5 or so of the bulks and 1-2 high grade. I'll get my cards out tomorrow.

Oh, another question. I have a card that I think will grade out < $100, but if it hits a grade 10 it's a $600 card. Can I submit this for bulk?

In my experience you are probably alright. I’ve heard in some cases they may come back and charge you for the next level up but I’ve never seen it in any of the group submissions I’ve done.

Bobby will probably know better than me.

You have to be realistic...getting a '10' is NOT realistic...so treat is as a '9' or so...if it DOES come back a '10', I still don't think that is enough money to warrant an upcharge...usually they reserve that for the big boys (think Mantle rookie, Jordan rookie, etc) where a PSA 10 vs a 9 can be an increase of $20k or more.....

You'll be fine. I've had $1000+ (Post grade) cards go through bulk with no issue.

While we are talking about this, I have cards in BGS 9.5 holders I want to crack out swap over to PSA. They range in eBay value from 600-900, but if they do grade 10 probably increase a couple hundred each. Is that close enough to get in the under $500 category with PSA? Thanks for any knowledge.

Probably, especially if they're worth significantly less than that raw. I won't say it's 100%, but twice I've had submissions under the bulk rate (less than $100) that came back as high grade low pops worth around $1000 each and didn't get asked to pay extra. Based on that, it isn't at all strict, and as Bobby mentioned, it's more for the big boys. People spend way too much time worrying about the valuation levels. It's almost entirely for insurance purposes.

Cards are in the mail. 9 total, 8x bulk, one premium. USPS priority from AZ, should be there early next week.

Did you read the thread where the member bumped him Jim Brown rookie from an '8' to an '8.5'? They asked him to pay extra. Think of it like this....if they ask you to pay extra, it's akin to you winning the lottery. Gladly pay the extra. The cards you are describing though, I think you are OK.
